Originally hailing from Kroonstad in the Free State, Charl gained a wealth of experience in the export fruit and ostrich meat industries before joining the Orange River Cellars team in December 2017. He is passionate about brand building. On his odd day off, he likes to spend time outdoors.

She is highly dedicated and leaves no stone unturned in die pursuit of sound financial management. She believes in working together as a team and is passionate to share the knowledge she gained with fellow team members. During her time off, she loves camping and fishing with her family.

Our seasoned HR chief loves hunting, camping, and exploring new places, especially from the back of a motorcycle. In keeping with the values of his profession, he strives to empower people to reach their full potential and to be fair and consistent.

With more than twenty years combined experience in winemaking, production, and project management, Chris is the calm, capable captain of our wine operations. He loves to read non-fiction, gardening, and traveling, and describes himself as an adventurous and creative introvert.

Johan is a firm believer in Henry Ford’s words “coming together is a beginning, keeping together is progress” as a mantra for the workplace. He enjoys camping, hunting, hiking, playing golf, and having a braai with family and friends.

She is part of ORC’s viticultural team that together with the producers ensures good quality grapes, and in effect, good quality wine.
She loves the outdoors and makes time to visit the beautiful parks in our country. She enjoys DIY projects and being creative.

Mosdop, as everyone knows him, is a manager who leads by example. He is hardworking and always makes time for his staff.
He likes everything outdoors, golf, hunting, fishing, and hanging out with good friends. He does not like reading at all.

With more than 35 years of experience in the wine industry, he is devoted and passionate about his work. Meeting new people, tasting a new vintage of his popular wines, and learning from others are the factors that drive him. In his free time, he likes to walk and read a novel.

With over 18 years of industry experience, he is passionate about brand building, customer service, and providing an environment where others can grow and share ideas. He is a family man who plays cricket on a social level, enjoys a compelling movie, and loves a good braai with the right company.

With 25 years of experience in the production environment, he strives in creating an open communication channel between staff and management. He believes in a well-disciplined work environment where every employee can develop himself/herself to their full potential, with a big drive when it comes to customer service. He loves hunting, outdoor life, and doing woodwork.

Hailing from Somerset West, Ferdi brings his years of experience as a Winemaker as well as a Laboratory manager to the team. His interests include various sciences and technology. He values mutual respect and believes that doing the right thing at the right time and in the right way, is the truest path to success.

John believes, your work is your pride, your name is on every product that goes out at the gate and detail sells. He enjoys the outdoors, motorcycling, and 4×4 with his family.
