Orange River Cellars was one of three South African wineries represented at the 11th International Wine Show Prague, which was successfully held at the Hilton Hotel in Prague on 22 October.
The wine show belongs to the most important wine events in the Czech republic with the highest number of foreign exhibitors. More than 400 visitors had an opportunity to meet 61 winemakers and distributors from all over the world. There were more than 20 exhibitors from Italy.
The number of exhibitors doubled compared to the previous fair that was held in April 2013. The wine show gave a chance to wineries to present their wine, gain new business contacts and meet relevant partners from wine businesses and gastronomy.
The representative for Orange River Cellars, Michal Kosatha, said the wines showed great popularity, especially the Pinotage 2012 and Cabernet Sauvignon 2012. The stand had many comebacks from visitors who wanted to taste some of the wines again.
The Colombard 2013 was also appraised by tasters for its freshness and fruitiness and the Chenin Blanc 2013 was called a ”perfect banquet wine.”
The aim of attending this show was to meet new potential customers and this was certainly achieved – the products received very good feedback overall.
